Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Jason had a troubled history as a teenager in New Jersey. His mother decided to send him to Clearwater, Florida to live with a relative to hopefully have a better chance at life. Jason was described as a hard worker as he did several jobs. Unfortunately it appeared that he could not quit his drug habit. Authorities say that there had been an ongoing dispute between Jason and Eustacio Pena-Muthe over weapons and threats made between the two of them. Authorities allege that Eustacio shot Jason to death in the head while he was sleeping in his apartment. Eustacio fled and authorities found drugs and related items in the apartment. As of this posting, Eustacio still has an active homicide warrant in Florida’s statewide warrant database. Investigators are renewing publicity efforts through the media to hopefully get tips on Eustacio’s whereabouts. Eustacio has probably fled to Mexico and is originally from the community of Ixmiquilpan, Hidalgo.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Eustacio’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Pinellas County (to qualify for the reward) at 1-800-873-8477 (TIPS). Eustacio should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Jason’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case. Jason’s troubled past is not an excuse for his homicide and his case should be discussed in a respectful and compassionate manner. My thoughts are especially with Jason’s mother who wanted her son to have a better life.
