Summary:
Leandro Lozano-Jiminez is wanted for the homicide of 18-year-old Uvaldo Gallardo. Uvaldo’s brother was also shot and paralyzed.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Uvaldo and his brother had an argument with Leandro after Leandro picked on one of their friends. Adding to the argument was that Uvaldo and his brother were trying to invite their neighbours to Uvaldo's 19th birthday celebration. Leandro then allegedly shot both Uvaldo and his brother, killing Uvaldo and paralyzing his brother. Leandro may have obtained the firearm from a burglary right before the shooting. In 2016, a man was arrested in Georgia who had a similar name as the fugitive in this case. He was suspected at first to have been the fugitive, but fingerprints confirmed he was not the fugitive wanted for Uvaldo Gallardo’s homicide. As of this posting, Leandro is listed as having a warrant and not being in custody, according to Harris County’s court records database. Leandro has most likely fled to his native country of Mexico.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Leandro’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Houston (to qualify for the potential reward) at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Leandro should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Uvaldo’s family, especially his brother can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
