The mechanic and Martin obtained a truck part in Kilmer, Texas, then had dinner together in Mount Pleasant. The mechanic left to do more work on the truck. Martin was last seen in Longview, Texas on January 14, 2010. He never contacted his family again. Martin left all his personal belongings, clothes, and truck behind.
