Circumstances of Disappearance:
Danielle Mouton was last seen in Seattle, Washington on March 29, 2010, when she had a supervised visit with her young daughter at the Child Protective Services office. She has never been heard from again. Mouton kept in regular contact with her family and several friends, none of which have heard from her since then. Police don't have a description of anyone she was last seen with. She was homeless, but frequented the Nativity House and other day shelters. Prior to her disappearance, Mouton was involved with drugs and prostitution in the Pacific Avenue area of Tacoma, Washington, and also frequented the Glacier Motel on Pacific Highway east in Fife, Washington. She was homeless and sometimes went to the Nativity House and other day shelters.
Additional Details:
Five women and teens went missing between 1994 and 2010 in the Tacoma area, all of whom worked as prostitutes in the areas around Puyallup Avenue and in downtown Tacoma. These disappearances are known as the Tacoma Five, including Tami Kowalchuk, Helen Tucker, Jennifer Enyart, Debra Honey-Hooks, and Danielle Mouton. While there is no evidence linking these five cases together, it's possible that one or more of these women were victims of some serial offender, according to Det. Lindsey Wade with Tacoma Police. Detectives do not believe that Green River Killer Gary Ridgeway is responsible for any of these disappearances. Danielle's family is holding out hope that someone in the area remembers Danielle and can help bring her home. According to Tacoma Police Detective Lindsey Wade, it's likely that some of the people who knew her, and she was pretty well known in the downtown area, likely someone might have their memories intact and might be willing to come forward with information.
