Summary:

Thawatchai (Ben) Jaroennet-Lewis, age 17, was last seen in Quandong Street, Leeman, Western Australia at 11pm on Monday 28 June 2010 and has not contacted his family or friends since this time.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Thawatchai Jaroennet-Lewis was last seen walking out of his house in Leeman, Western Australia at about 10:00 pm on 28 June 2010 after he said he was going for a walk. He took six packets of two minute noodles, a bottle of water, and may have rode off on a black Giant brand mountain bike. He was last seen in Quandong Street Leeman at 11pm Monday 28 June 2010, wearing a brown jumper, blue jeans, white skate shoes and grey beanie with red motif.

Additional Details:

His disappearance is described as out of character as he was planning to enroll in TAFE and do an engineering course. However his recent cannabis use worried his family. His stepfather Grant Lewis says the family are concerned because they have not heard from him, which is out of character. Lewis stated: "I'm hoping he's just walked off and is safe somewhere, that's what we've got to try and pin down and find out, because there's been no trace of him at all, that's the scariest part." Thawatchai had friends in Jurien Bay, Cervantes and Perth, and was planning to go to TAFE to study engineering, but he missed his enrolment date. Senior police in the mid west praised the assistance of the police helicopter in searching for the missing teenager at the weekend. The aircraft, normally only used in metropolitan areas, was being used during daylight hours to help search for Leeman teenager Ben Jaroennet-Lewis, who had been missing for nearly two weeks.
