On March 31st, 2010, Jacob Cabinaw played disc golf with a friend at Hickory Hills in Traverse City, Michigan. Cabinaw dropped off his friend around 9pm. Cabinaw then made his monthly call to the National Guard to say he was still taking classes at Northwestern Michigan College,

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Various sources indicated Cabinaw was seen in Mattawan, Michigan on April 1, 2010, driving his 2002 Silver Chevy Malibu. On April 2, 2010, at 3:35am in West Fork, Arkansas Cabinaw made contact with law enforcement. On April 2, 2010, at 1:26pm, Jacob Cabinaw’s credit card was used in Fort Worth, Texas, at an Exxon Mobil gas station and again on the same day at 4:49pm at Skinny’s (7-11 store) in Sweetwater, Texas. In 2017 sources stated that Cabinaw’s vehicle may have been associated with a scrap yard in Mexico.
Additional Details:
In addition to taking classes at a local college, Jacob was also a member of the National Guard and worked as a mechanic at a local garage. His family maintains that it was unlike Jacob to disappear as he loved his sons and was working towards buying a house for himself and his girlfriend. He was declared legally deceased in 2015.
