Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Hugo approached Saul at an apartment complex and shot Saul to death. The suspected motive was that Saul belonged to a rival gang. This in no way excuses his homicide, especially since Saul was a minor. A homicide warrant would be issued for Hugo’s arrest, along with a federal indictment against MS-13 gang members in Houston. The federal charges against the defendants include the homicide of Saul Garduno. As of this posting, Hugo has an active homicide warrant in Harris County’s court records database and is not in custody. Hugo is originally from El Salvador so he may have returned there.
