Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Evaristo Tapia’s ex-wife had filed for a protection order based on previous domestic violence incidents. Evaristo Tapia had allegedly held a knife to her throat and threatened to kill her. On another occasion, he threatened to beat her in front of her children. Authorities say that Evaristo Tapia broke into Evaristo Tlatenchi’s home. The two men fought and Tapia allegedly stabbed Tlatenchi to death. Tapia then allegedly stabbed and wounded his ex-wife. Evaristo Tapia has presumably fled to Mexico. As of this posting, Evaristo Tapia’s case in Pennsylvania’s court records database has no arrest date, disposition and docket entries since 2011. This unfortunately confirms that he is still at large.
