Summary:
On 09-03-12, Murfreesboro Police responded to 220 E. Chestnut St. in reference to shots fired. Once on scene officers located an unresponsive male later identified as Mickey Simmons. Mr. Simmons was shot multiple times and transported to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased. According to witnesses on scene, a silver or gold Chevrolet Impala driving north on N. Academy St. opened fire on the individuals at 220 E. Chestnut St.
