Rathanak Chea is wanted by the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office for first-degree murder in connection with the August 4, 2012 death of Pheng Xiong, whose throat was cut in Wichita, Kansas. Chea was charged with the crime but investigators believe he fled Wichita and remains at large.

Circumstances of Offense:

On August 4, 2012, Pheng Xiong was found dead in the 800 block of S. Erie in Wichita with his throat slashed and nearly decapitated. Xiong had been held down on a bed and asked if he had any last words before being brutally murdered. Rathanak Chea was charged with first-degree murder in the case, but investigators say they believe he left Wichita.

Additional Details:

Chea was added to the Sedgwick County Sheriff's Office's Top Ten Most Wanted list following the arrest of another wanted fugitive, Rogelio Reyes. Chea was featured on the Crime Stoppers Warrant Project in May 2018, with a billboard displaying his photo at Kellogg and Washington. Tips leading to his arrest may be eligible for a cash reward up to $2,500. As of this posting, Chea has an active warrant in Sedgwick County’s warrants database.
