Summary:

Radiah Gilbert was a 21-year-old pregnant woman who disappeared from Nashville, Tennessee on June 24, 2013. Last seen at the Roadway Inn on West Trinity Lane, she has never been found. Detectives believe she was a victim of foul play.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Radiah Gilbert had been living off and on with her mother, Maquita. She struggled with drug addiction and had been staying at various motels in East Nashville. On June 24, 2013, her mother attempted to convince her to seek drug rehabilitation treatment. Rather than accept help, Radiah left her mother's house to avoid the conversation. Following her usual pattern, she went to stay at the Roadway Inn in the 300 block of West Trinity Lane in East Nashville. She was last seen there by acquaintances and has never been seen or heard from again since that date.

Additional Details:

At the time of her disappearance, Radiah was approximately six to seven months pregnant, with a due date expected in either August or September 2013. She had a two-year-old child who remained in her mother's care. Metro Nashville Police Detective Lieutenant Jill Weaver has led the investigation as a cold case. Weaver stated: 'We feel strongly that Radiah was a victim of foul play, or something nefarious happened to her that ended her life. People don't just drop off the face of the earth.' Radiah's mother, Maquita, had a gut feeling from the onset that something tragic had happened to her daughter. She called Detective Weaver often, crying and wanting answers about what happened to Radiah. Maquita has since passed away without ever receiving closure. The Roadway Inn at the location where she was last seen has since permanently closed. Metro Nashville Police launched a dedicated cold case website in 2024 to bring renewed attention to cases like Radiah's. Few details are publicly available about the investigation, and her case remains active and unsolved.
