Robert Leonard Politte, known as Bobby, was 31 years old when he was last known to be at the Siskiyou County Jail in Yreka, California, on Sunday, June 9, 2013. According to the Siskiyou County Sheriff's Office, he led a transient lifestyle and his family had not heard from him in years. He has never been heard from again. The missing person report was not made until January 2018, more than four years after his last known contact, when the Sheriff's Office opened its case. The case was entered in the national missing persons database in November 2020 with jail booking photographs showing his long hair and full beard. Mr. Politte is 5 feet 9 inches tall and weighed about 135 pounds, with strawberry blonde, shoulder-length hair, a full beard and green eyes. He is known to carry rocks in a purple bag and a six- to eight-inch wooden stick that he calls his "magic wand."
