Luis Suarez-Galvan is wanted for the homicide of 22-year-old Jose Pichardo.

Circumstances of Offense:
Prior to Jose’s homicide, there had been a dispute over territory between the gang that Luis and his brother belonged to and the gang that Jose and his brother had started. Jose’s wife told the media that at the time of her husband’s death, he was no longer participating in gang activities. Even if he still was, his involvement in gangs at any time in his life is not an excuse for him being murdered. Additionally, 16 days prior to the homicide, Luis’s brother had allegedly shot at Jose’s brother outside a grocery store. On the day of the homicide, Jose was driving after spending his lunch break with his mother. Luis drove up beside him and allegedly fired up to five gunshots, striking Jose twice. Jose’s car crashed into a nearby home and Jose was pronounced deceased at the scene. The home that Jose’s car crashed into was occupied by a mother and her child at the time. It should be mentioned that around the time of the homicide, Luis had posted “ Best believe ima (sic) take your life before you take mine.” on his Facebook page. Luis was officially charged with Jose’s homicide in August of 2015 and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Detectives have made several attempts to arrest him but he has evaded capture with the assistance of friends. He was reportedly seen in 2018 in Grant and Yakima counties in Washington state. As of this posting, Washington’s court records database confirms that Luis has an active warrant and that there has been no court filings since 2015.
