Jonathan Figueroa is wanted for the capital murders of his ex-girlfriend, 26-year old Veronica Mercado and her 23-month old daughter, Linette Cano.

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities allege that Jonathan broke into Veronica’s residence and shot both her and Linette to death with an assault rifle. Veronica had held Linette in her arms, trying to protect her. Jonathan is not Linette’s biological father. Veronica had ended a toxic relationship with Jonathan because of his abusive behaviour. Jonathan was believed to have immediately fled to the Mexican border following the homicides. He has ties to the Mexican state of Guerrero where his parents live.
