Summary:
Kevin Waguespack is wanted for allegedly murdering his girlfriend, 32-year-old Catherine Dyer.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
According to court documents, Kevin called 911 right after Catherine was murdered to confess. He fled to his mother’s residence in Natchez, Mississippi where he surrendered to local authorities. Kevin was allowed to be released on bail prior to his trial as long as he wore an ankle monitor device. Despite having fled the state of Texas previously, a judge unbelievably allowed for Kevin to remove the ankle monitoring device in April of 2017. Unsurprisingly Kevin failed to appear for a pre-trial hearing later that year and warrants were issued for his arrest. The district attorney’s office had objected to Kevin’s ankle monitoring device being removed. The judge who made the decision has never given an explanation for her actions. Kevin has ties to Houston & Katy, Texas along with Louisiana and Mississippi. It is believed that he may currently be homeless. If he is working then he may be doing roofing, construction or another form of manual labour. As of this posting, Kevin is still wanted on his bond forfeiture (murder) warrant, according to a May 13, 2025 news article. Kevin is also wanted by the US Marshals Service for Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Kevin’s whereabouts should contact Austin Crime Stoppers (to be eligible for a potential reward) at 512-472-8477 or the U.S. Marshals Service Communications Center at 1-800-336-0101. Kevin should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Catherine’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
