Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities say that Richard returned to a residence which he once shared with his ex-girlfriend to pick up his belongings. Once inside, he became angry and began swinging a large sword at people. A man and his wife who were inside the home tried to intervene to help the woman and attempt to calm Richard down. That is when Richard allegedly hacked both the man and his wife with the sword. The man’s right pinky finger was cut off and several other fingers were also cut. Richard then allegedly proceeded to cut and slash the man’s face, arm and knee until the woman intervened. Richard then allegedly chopped her forehead. Both victims tried to flee for their lives but Richard caught up to them and allegedly stabbed the woman in the neck. Richard’s ex-girlfriend told him that the police were coming which caused Richard to stop his alleged violent assault and flee. Richard has unfortunately remained at large for the past 10 years. As of this posting, Richard is on the Comal County Crime Stoppers website as one of their most wanted fugitives. His warrants consist of Attempted Capital Murder Of Multiple Persons and Aggravated Assault With A Deadly Weapon. Considering the fact that he may be homeless and the amount of time he has remained a fugitive, I feel that Richard could be anywhere by now.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Richard’s whereabouts should contact Comal County Crime Stoppers (to be eligible for the potential reward) at 830-620-TIPS (8477). Richard should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that there can be justice and answers in this case.
