Authorities allege that Hiram assisted his two accomplices with taping Cody’s hands and mouth. They then took him into the woods where they shot him in the back with a shotgun. Cody’s brother told the media that Cody was involved in drugs and that he had tried his best to get his brother out of the lifestyle and away from people like the men charged with murdering him. This is no excuse for Cody’s premeditated homicide and should not demean his reputation and character, out of respect to his grieving family. Hiram’s two accomplices would be arrested and pleaded guilty in the case. Arkansas DOC records confirm that Clifton King is serving a 25 year sentence for kidnapping and aggravated assault among other charges. As of this posting, Hiram’s capital murder case in Arkansas’s court records database is in open warrant status, with no plea, disposition and docket entries. This confirms that Hiram is unfortunately still at large. Hiram’s last known address was in Houston, Texas but any potential current whereabouts have not been publicized.
