Summary:

Juan Velez-Lopez is wanted for the homicide of his girlfriend, 57-year-old Consuelo Pena.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities allege that Juan stabbed Consuelo to death in her own home. Consuelo had previously made Juan move out of her home and Juan had threatened her. After the homicide, Juan was photographed driving into Nuevo Laredo, Mexico. A federal Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution (UFAP) warrant was issued after the Harris County DA’s office said they would extradite Juan if he was arrested in his native country of Mexico. As of this posting, Juan’s murder case in Harris County’s court records database is in warrant/citation issued status. It also shows Juan as not being in custody. The UFAP warrant is also still active, according to public PACER records.

Additional Details:

Anyone with information on Juan’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Houston (to qualify for the potential reward) at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Juan should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Consuelo’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
