Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
Meg McCallum's grandmother awoke at 3 AM on March 11, 2015 when her dog was barking and Meg was not there. She had stopped at her parents' home the night before to pick up a phone charger. Her phone has been off since the day she disappeared and her debit and credit cards have not been used. Her car was found in the parking lot of Edgewater East apartments on Avenel Boulevard in Long Branch, Monmouth County, New Jersey on April 11th. Authorities reviewed video footage of the parking garage which showed she had arrived there at about 5:30 a.m. and walked away in the direction of the boardwalk, which was the last solid lead in this case.
Additional Details:
She left behind practically everything, including her dog Sweet Pea, who she adored. She has ties to several towns within New Jersey, including Montvale, Oakland, Jersey City, and Long Branch, and has also resided in Nevada City, California and Glenwood Springs, Colorado. Her mother, Heidi McCallum, described her as a wonderful, wonderful sweet person who works with the elderly. She volunteered for City Green, a non-profit organization focused on building urban farms and gardens in Northern New Jersey, and Eva's Kitchen, a program to feed the homeless. The family receives tips on potential sightings every so often and police have not uncovered anything new. Her case remains unsolved.
