Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
It was Thanksgiving morning when Drumm vanished. Ruth Drumm left her husband at their Saratoga home on Burgoyne Road. Drumm was last seen in Schuylerville, New York sometime between 10:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. on November 24, 2015. He was home alone at his residence on Burgoyne Road that day. He apparently went for a walk on his 170-acre property, which abuts Fish Creek, and never returned home. He is believed to have taken his wallet, which contained his debit card and New York driver's license, but his vehicle were left behind.
Additional Details:
Drumm was recently retired at the time of his disappearance. He was the caretaker for a property across the street from his own and was also a member of the Saratoga Town Board, but he had declined to run for re-election; his term was set to expire at the end of that year. He and his wife planned to travel in their retirement. Drumm retired from National Grid as a crew supervisor. His wife, Ruth, works as town clerk. He has been the town's deputy supervisor in recent years. Drumm has been a youth baseball coach, and member of the town Board of Assessment Review and town Planning Board. More than 200 searchers have covered an area close to 1,200 acres. Various Saratoga County fire agencies, the State Federation of Search and Rescue Teams, members of the Saratoga County Sheriff's Office and state DEC Forest Rangers have participated. His family announced Monday it had established a $5,000 cash reward fund for anyone who provides information directly leading to Drumm's whereabouts or to the arrest and conviction of anyone responsible for his disappearance. Investigator Roger Zalucky of the Saratoga County sheriff's department said there is no indication a crime was committed. There was no activity on his credit cards and investigators turned up no evidence or leads on what is classified as an active missing person case. Drumm's family is offering a $10,000 cash reward for information that leads to finding him. It's not known what he was wearing when he left the house, but he frequently wore a camouflage cowboy hat and size-10 sneakers.
