Summary:
According to DPS officials, he was driving on U.S. 93 when he somehow became separated from the person he was with. The following day, authorities found his truck abandoned on the side of the road and without gas. It is believed that Hemer walked into the desert and either got a ride to Nevada or back to Arizona, DPS said.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
Jonathan was traveling with a companion from TX to CA in a truck pulling a trailer with a motorcycle inside. They stopped in Seligman, AZ on 9/15/2016. At 9:00pm the friend decided to drive his motorcycle and have Jonathan drive the truck. They agreed to meet at the 76 gas station in Kingman. Jonathan never showed up. The truck was found abandoned and unlocked on highway 93 at the 10.5 mile marker south of Hoover Dam at 11:00 am on 9/16. All belongings were inside the vehicle except for his wallet and the truck Keys.
