Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

September 17, 2016, Virginia Ortiz and her two young children died in a house fire at 99 High Street. Rochester Fire Dept. responded to a house fire at 99 High St. The house was fully engulfed in flames. The Fire Department was able to get Virginia Ortiz (Mother), Willie Nelson Child) and Ameeya Nelson (Child) out of the house. They were rushed to the hospital, but all tragically gied from smoke inhalation. The fire was intentionally lit in the front seat area of a 2005 Toyota Avalon parked in the driveway. The fire quickly spread and ultimately engulfed the entire house on fire.

Additional Details:

There is a $10,000 reward for anyone who comes forward with information that might lead to an arrest. Rochester Police are asking anyone with information to contact them at 585-428-7157 or Crimestoppers at 585-423-9300."Usually when you have four working smoke alarms people get out. They're alerted to the fire and they get out very quickly. We don't know how fast this fire moved or how fast it intensified so it's difficult to say if they had an opportunity to get out because of the alarms, ," said Rochester Fire Department Deputy Chief Willie Jackson. Despite the atf 10000 reward no one has spoken up. We do have multiple names of suspects but they were not investigated. After the main suspect passed the case went closed. We still have multiple names that we know would have caused this fire
