In the summer of 2016, her mother Tiara McWilliams lost all contact with Ameera, her father Anthony Deadrick, and his girlfriend Lashandra. Her father claimed he gave custody of Ameera to a woman named Linda or 'Tootie' but this woman could not be located or verified to exist. She remains missing.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Disappearance:

Ameera spent the summer of 2013 with her father, Anthony Deadrick, and his girlfriend LaShandra Spikes in Houston, and when it was time for her to return home, her father refused to let her go. In 2014, her mother Tiara traveled to Houston to take her daughter back home, but Ameera's father would not let her return with her mother. Since there was no custody agreement in place, Tiara had no legal recourse. Over the next couple of years, Tiara visited her little girl several times and remained in touch with her over text messages and phone calls. Ameera was last seen in a Facebook video on approximately April 1, 2016, where it appeared she was at a Chuck E. Cheese, possibly in Houston, TX. In the summer of 2016, Tiara lost all contact with Ameera, her father Anthony Deadrick, and his girlfriend Lashandra. Her date of last contact is November 16, 2016. According to Ameera's biological father, he left Ameera with a family friend named 'Tootie' in the vicinity of Hubbard, TX, on November 14, 2016.

Additional Details:

Anthony Deadrick was arrested in November of 2016 on unrelated charges and was serving time in a Houston prison. Detectives interviewed Deadrick in prison, and he told them he had befriended a woman in Waco, Texas and had left Ameera in her care. He said he gave custody of Ameera to a lady that he had met at a convenience store somewhere in the Waco area whose name was Linda, but some people knew her as 'Tootie,' but investigators could not locate or verify that this woman even existed. This woman may have lived at the Bordeaux Apartments in Waco, Texas and may have worked in the health care industry. Cadaver dogs were used to search the home where Deadrick lived prior to his incarceration, but the search turned up nothing. The FBI Emergency Response team was in Hubbard testing new technology in the search for a missing girl, Ameera Deadrick, and her disappearance remains an active investigation. Ameera's father has been released from prison, and according to police, he still says that he gave Ameera to a woman named Linda. Ameera's case was featured on billboards in Texas and over the years investigators have investigated every tip received, but the mystery of what happened to Ameera in 2016 remains.
