The apartment was locked from the inside, with no visible signs of forced entry. His body was found near his desk, while his phone displayed a message sent to his own number at 11:47 PM. Security footage showed no obvious person entering or leaving the apartment during the relevant period. Three ordinary objects in the room were found deliberately out of their usual positions, suggesting that the scene may have been staged.

The apartment door was locked from the inside. No visible signs of forced entry. All windows were closed and locked. The balcony door was locked. His wallet, keys, phone and laptop were still inside. There was no obvious sign of robbery. Phone At 11:47 PM, a message was sent from Lind's phone to his own number: “11:47 — don’t trust the clock.” The message was manually typed. Battery: 63%. No unusual outgoing calls were found. The phone's system clock appeared to be functioning normally. Clocks There were two clocks in the room: Digital desk clock Working normally. Battery powered. Its displayed time was 7 minutes different from the security-camera timestamp. Small wall clock Still running. Positioned approximately 2° off its normal position. Its wall mount was undamaged. Security Camera The hallway camera showed: 11:20 PM — Lind enters his apartment. 11:26 PM — The apartment lights turn on. 11:41 PM — Hallway is empty. 11:52 PM — A neighbor walks through the hallway. 11:54 PM — The neighbor calls emergency services. The camera does not show the inside of Lind's apartment. Preliminary Forensic Report No obvious external injuries. No obvious signs of a physical struggle. Toxicology detected an unidentified substance; identification is pending. Initial estimated time of death: 11:35–11:50 PM. Lind's fingerprints were found on the door handle. An incomplete unidentified fingerprint was also found on the handle. No useful fingerprints were recovered from the window sill. Three Misplaced Objects Investigators noticed three objects that appeared to be deliberately out of position: Desk lamp — normally on the left side of the desk; now on the right. Chair — approximately 40 cm away from the desk. Wall clock — slightly tilted, despite its mount being intact. There were no obvious signs of a struggle around these objects.
