Susan and her 15 year old son, Evan Chartrand, disappeared May 29, 2017. They lived on Waterview Lane near Highway 111 with Susan’s second husband of four years, Jerry Marshall Osborne. Susan’s family lived out of state and had not heard from Susan for two months. Susan’s family filed a missing persons report in July 2017. Susan's 10 year old daughter, who lived with Susa’s father, and Susan’s car were left behind.

Circumstances of Disappearance:
The police did a welfare check and spoke with Osborne. Osborne was in the middle of cleaning the home and had completely remodeled the home within the past two months. Osborne told the police that Susan decided to leave him and had a man pick her and Evan up. Osborne also said the next day the man returned to the house and removed furniture and other belongings of Susan's. Susan’s two dogs were later found at an animal shelter; they'd been dropped off on June 12. None of Susan’s social media accounts or credit cards have been used since their disappearance.
