On November 19, 2017 Corinth Police Department officers located a deceased female in her vehicle in a vacant parking lot in the 5700 block of I-35E. The victim was identified as 21-year old UNT student Amanda Clairmont.

Circumstances of Offense:

Corinth Police Officers discovered a suspicious vehicle parked against a fence in a vacant parking lot in the 5700 Block of Interstate 35E, at about 6 a.m. on Sunday, November 19, 2017. Upon investigating, officers found a deceased woman, later identified as Amanda Clairmont, had suffered gunshot wounds. Miss Clairmont is known to have been in the Fry Street bar area in Denton shortly before her murder. An investigation determined that she pulled into a parking lot and spoke to one or more individuals in a red truck. The shooting occurred shortly after that.
