Summary:
Ever Orozco left his sister's house on Christmas 2017 to return to New Mexico with some friends. He was supposed to be back in two weeks but never returned. Ever's remains were found in December 2020 in rural New Mexico and his cause was ruled undetermined. There are witness accounts of what likely happened and a likely suspect, however, the investigation has stalled primarily due to witness fear of retaliation.

It is suspected that Ever was accidentally or intentionally killed in response to drug trafficking related crimes. In January 2018, Ever's car was found abandoned in the parking lot of a mall in Aurora, Colorado, more than an hour's drive south of Greeley. The car, a 2008 Dodge Charger, was filled with clothes, paraphernalia and his girlfriend's purse.
