Medina is also a parolee; his commitment offense was vehicular homicide. His brother Humberto Villarreal was wanted by the US Marshals for trafficking meth. Humberto Villarreal was arrested in Mexico on July 29, 2019. Medina is still at large as of April 2026, based on an analysis of Kern County court records.
