Kimberly was last seen by family members on 05/13/2017 at 2:40 a.m. when her sister gave her a ride to the 1200 block of E. Washington Street, Brownsville, Tx. They have not seen or heard from Kimberly since then. Family members advise Avila is transgender and was last seen wearing a black wig, a black short sleeve dressy blouse, a black skirt and high heel stiletto shoes. Kimberly was known to be involved in sex work. It is unknown if she was engaging in sex work when she went missing.
Additional Details:
Avila is transgender; although born male, she identifies as female or gender-fluid, and uses the name Kimberly. Her other nickname is Junior. She was wearing gray contact lenses and a black wig at the time of her disappearance. She did have a cell phone with her, but only was only able to use it via wifi.
