Garza was last seen in the 1300 block of Melissa Sue, near Culebra Road and Callaghan Road, in San Antonio, Texas on March 1, 2018. She spoke to her mother on the phone that day, and said she was going to a party with her fiance. She has never been heard from again. Garza left behind three teenage children, and her loved ones don't believe she would have abandoned them. She is considered missing under suspicious circumstances and her case remains unsolved.

Amalia Garza disappeared on March 1st, 2018. Amalia lived in an abusive and controlling relationship without independent access to money, transportation, or communication devices. She was monitored and restricted from contacting her family and friends. The final disappearance of Amalia may have taken place in the rural areas of Spring Branch/Bulverde or San Antonio West. Amelia's fiancee, Steven Rendon was arrested and charged for Aggravated Kidnapping of a different woman by San Antonio PD in 2020 (after Amalia went missing).
