Lenell Kirby is wanted for the homicide of his girlfriend, 28-year-old Tyiela Autrey and the attempted murder of Tyiela’s 22-year-old niece.

Circumstances of Offense:

Tyiela had been planning on ending her three-month relationship with Lenell where he had been very controlling. They had gotten back from a birthday party and returned home where they got into an argument. Lenell then allegedly shot Tyiela in the eye, killing the young woman. Lenell then allegedly went after Tyiela’s niece, shooting her once in the head. The niece was able to call police and her mother before collapsing on the front lawn. Lenell then allegedly shot her two more times in the head. She survived her horrific injuries. Lenell took off in a vehicle and has been wanted ever since. Authorities believe that Lenell is getting assistance but his own mother has pleaded for him to turn himself in, saying that she raised him better than that. As of this posting, Lenell’s homicide case in Michigan’s court records database is in open status with no arraignment or disposition date. There has also been no additional filings except for a change of the judge assigned to the case. All of this unfortunately confirms that Lenell is still wanted.
