Summary:
Officers responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Ewing Boulevard. They discovered a white Toyota Camry sitting in the drive of 614 East St. with the passenger door open. Upon approaching the vehicle, officers discovered a white male later identified as James Poynter suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Mr. Poynter was transported to St. Thomas Rutherford, where he was subsequently pronounced deceased as a result of his injuries.
