Additional Details:
On November 24th, 2018, family conducted a search in the area Eric's jeep was found. While doing the search, they came across Eric's dogs, who were deceased, about a mile from where the jeep was found. Eric's shoe was also found with a tow tag in the shoe. The tow tag was from November 20th when Eric's jeep was originally found and was tagged by the police. Eric's keys were found hanging from a gate, around a mile from where the jeep and dogs were found. Captain Restelle and Detective Sergeant Jeb Newkirk of the Atlanta Police Department stated there are currently no suspects in Eric's disappearance. "We've interviewed everyone that's been called in or we've received a tip on, or received information about," Captain Restelle said, "And nothing that we can move forward with or substantiate has been developed out of any of that." The case was investigated by an initial investigator who was actually Eric's neighbor. He is no longer the investigator or involved in the case. The family has not received any updates since the first year Eric went missing. They have called and reached out with information but never receive a call back. The TV program "Dateline NBC" recently focused on the case. He worked as a tattoo artist at the time of his disappearance, and left behind three stepchildren whom he was very close to. Eric is a talented tattoo artist who planned on opening his own tattoo shop in East Texas. "He went to art school in Dallas and had a full scholarship for that."
