Summary:
Andrea was last seen in Louisville, Kentucky. She had been at a McDonald's on Poplar Level Road on the evening of August 12 with Ethan Bates, her sister Sarah's fiancé, and her nephew. Bates drove Andrea to the hospital in the 3900 block of Dutchmans Lane to get medicine for a rash on her face. At 11:22 p.m., she took a Lyft ride from the hospital to her mother's home on Chickadee Road in the Audubon Park neighborhood. Andrea, her sister Sarah, and Bates were living at the home at the time, but their mother wasn't, as the property was being renovated. That night, Andrea's two young sons were staying with their respective fathers, whom Andrea was separated from.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
At 12:15 a.m. on August 13th, Andrea walked over a mile to her other sister's home on Fincastle Rd when no one answered the door at her mother's home where she was living. Erin and Andrea spoke for a bit at Erin's house. Erin eventually drove Andrea back to their mother's home. Andrea again couldn't get into her mother’s home and ended up walking back to Erin's house. Erin told her sister she should go home and sleep it off. Andrea left Erin’s house once again- on foot - at 1:38am and via GPS tracking, arrived back at her mother's house at 1:54am. She reportedly never made it inside the home and this is the last place she is known to have been. Erin had tried to call both of their parents to ask them to make sure Andrea got home. (It was a nice night and Andrea was known to occasionally sleep in her car when there was a disagreement instead of in the house).
Additional Details:
Her phone was still active at 6:31am although a location didn’t register due to her phone not being on for long enough, which was several hours after she was last seen. At that time, either the battery died or the phone was turned off as all calls to that number have gone straight to voicemail. When the police served a search warrant on the Chickadee Road home, they were unable to locate the phone. Everyone who saw Andrea that night, close family, and friends were interviewed multiple times. Since her disappearance there has been no activity on her financial or bank accounts. Her family stated she was dedicated to her two children's well-being and it's uncharacteristic of her to be away from them. Her case remains unsolved.
