Summary:

On December 14, 2019, at approximately 2:00 AM. deputies of the Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 1700 Block of Dale Lane, Salisbury, MD in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, deputies located the victim, identified as Stefon Hagans of Salisbury, MD with a gunshot wound. Hagans was transported to the hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

Circumstances of Offense:

The preliminary investigation revealed that shortly before 2:00 AM, Hagans exited the rear of the residence to smoke a cigarette. An individual who was still inside of the residence, reported that they heard 3 gunshots and looked out of the bedroom window. They stated that they observed 3 black males running from the backyard headed east on Sarah Lane towards a parked car. They reported Hagans coming through the back door and Hagans was assisted to the bedroom and 911 was contacted.
