Detreck Julian Foster disappeared from Independence, Kansas, in the spring of 2020. According to the Kansas Bureau of Investigation, he was last seen around April 12, 2020, and was reported missing one month later, on May 12, 2020. Investigators with the Independence Police Department and KBI have said they suspect foul play and believe Detreck was murdered. Detreck was in between jobs due to COVID-19 pandemic, but said he had landed a job at FedEx right before he disappeared. He communicated with family members via prepaid cell phones. The KBI has received information that makes them believe foul play is involved.
