Colin Jerrick, 42, is wanted in connection with two separate 2020 murders on Long Island: the shooting death of Ajala Carpenter-Toney on June 13, 2020 in Wyandanch, and the murder of Elbert Wright on July 31, 2020 in North Amityville. He has been on the run since July 31, 2020, and as of June 2024, he remains a fugitive from the law and has evaded capture.

Circumstances of Offense:
On June 13, 2020, Ajala Carpenter-Toney, a 23-year-old living in Long Island who had been celebrating being cancer-free after about two years, was attending a party in Wyandanch, New York. Multiple gunshots rang out, and Ajala was among those shot. He was rushed to the hospital but pronounced dead there. Seven other people were shot during the party, including one man who has been in a coma since the incident. Witnesses remembered a man calling Ajala out, and while Ajala continued to walk away, the attacker pulled a gun out and shot him. At the time, the shooter was believed to be Colin Jerrick. On July 31, 2020, sometime during the evening, an argument ended with a man shooting Elbert Wright in North Amityville, New York. The authorities believed that Colin was responsible for this shooting as well.
Additional Details:
The investigation revealed that a few years prior, Colin's friend was shot, and Ajala was friends with the shooters, leading to a possible rift. According to Investigation Discovery's In Pursuit with John Walsh show, he was Guyanese and grew up in Amityville, and besides coaching wrestling in the past, Colin was known to be a weed dealer with some gang connections. Suffolk County released a photo of Jerrick hoping to obtain any information about his whereabouts. On the show, it was mentioned that his family possibly helped him stay hidden from the authorities. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest.
