Circumstances of Offense:
Ismael and his family were at his aunt’s residence to celebrate a cousin’s birthday. One of the attendees invited Oscar Palazuelos, an Avenues gang member and his associate. Ismael’s family eventually asked Oscar and his associate to leave. This led to a fight at the front door and Oscar allegedly shooting Ismael to death in the presence of his family. Ismael’s younger brother was shot in the hand. Oscar’s accomplice was arrested but Oscar remains at large.

The Los Angeles County Board Of Supervisors has extended the $10,000 reward until March 3, 2025. Tipsters must provide information to law enforcement before the deadline to be eligible. Anyone with information on Oscar’s whereabouts should contact the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Homicide Bureau at 323-890-5554 and ask to speak with Lt. Michael Gomez or Sgt. Cynthia Toone. Ismael had served three years in the military before receiving an honourable discharge due to a medical condition.
