Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities allege that Luis was involved in this double homicide. Emmanuel and Nancy were both shot to death in the driveway of their home and their son was shot and wounded. The couple was about to drive their son to a courthouse to testify against the suspect who allegedly shot and seriously wounded him. Two co-defendants were arrested who authorities say tried to bribe the family prior to the homicide in order for their son not to testify. One of the two co-defendants was charged with the murders while the other was only charged with coercion of a witness. Additionally, Luis’s parents were also charged with providing their son a passport and allowing him to flee to an unknown destination. As of this posting, Luis has an active warrant in Shelby County’s warrants database.
