Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
On March 11, 2021, Shannon came home from a work trip to his home in Pottsville, Arkansas. The next morning, she says Shannon walked off and didn't return. Collins was last seen by his wife, leaving his residence in Pottsville, Arkansas on the morning of March 12, 2021. For unclear reasons, Collins' wife did not report him missing; his brother did, in November 2021. Collins' brother had last heard from him in February, 2021. Investigators went to Shannon's home in Pottsville, AR and made contact with his wife who stated that Shannon had left on foot on 3-12-2021. She also stated that she and her son and daughter have been in phone contact with Shannon. Collins's brother had last heard from him in February.
Additional Details:
He was working a part time job delivering packages, which sometimes took him on the road out of state. To this date no other family member has had any contact with him. His wife gave an interview to investigators, during which police say she gave false and misleading statements. They have since attempted to complete follow-up interviews with Collins wife and children but were told that the family had received council and no longer wanted to speak to investigators. Shannon Collins' wife, Treasa, and daughter, Brittany, have been indicted in a federal wire fraud and conspiracy case connected to collecting and using Shannon's VA disability payments. They allegedly collected and used the payments for nine months following his disappearance in 2021. Treasa is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud, aiding and abetting wire fraud and theft of government funds. Her trial is set for January 20, 2026. Brittany Collins is charged with conspiracy to commit wire fraud and aiding and abetting wire fraud. His wife had access to Shannon's account and the indictment said, had the VA known he was "deceased, it would not have paid the $32,434.49 in VA disability compensation benefits." Investigators say they are viewing this as a missing person's case with foul play involved. The case is open and still an ongoing investigation that will not be closed until Shannon is located, the department says.
