Summary:

Lynetta Washington was walking in the 4600 block of Duncanville Road on April 25, 2021, when shots rang out. It was during a street takeover where crowds gather and cause traffic jams by doing burnouts in the intersections. Lynette was walking toward the intersection when the crowd began fleeing in all directions and someone shot a gun. Lynette was hit by a stray bullet. Police were actually near the scene when the shooting happened monitoring the street takeover activities.

"We've developed a vehicle of interests and some persons of interest that we would like to talk to that we would like to track down," Shelton said. "The vehicle right now that we've developed is a mid-2000s, I believe. A Chevrolet Tahoe, silver or gray in color." said Detective Shelton.
