Authorities allege that Francisco shot Victor to death during a drive-by shooting. A home with children inside was also struck by gunfire multiple times. The same firearm was used in another shooting that left three victims wounded. Francisco and the getaway driver had ties to the Sureno street gang. Victor frequently wore red clothing to support his favourite sports team. The suspects may have incorrectly assumed that Victor was a member of the rival Norteno street gang. The getaway driver was later arrested and entered a no-contest plea. The driver received a sentence of 7.5 years. Francisco still has an active warrant as of this posting, according to Washington’s Odyssey court records database.
