Circumstances of Offense:
Earnest had arrived to a mobile home park in his work truck because he was contacted about a bid on concrete work. Authorities allege that John, who was dressed in black, walked towards Earnest and shot him to death in the truck. John then fled the scene. The phone call to Earnest, which was sent from a burner phone was believed to be a ruse to lure Earnest to the scene. A warrant for first-degree murder would be issued for John’s arrest in January of 2022. There is a potential theory that the motive was related to a gambling debt, but this has not been officially confirmed to law enforcement. As of this posting, John has an active homicide warrant in Florida’s official statewide warrants database. The US Marshals have been searching for John in California. He may also be in Mexico.
