Renato Yedra-Briseno is wanted for the homicide of his girlfriend, 34-year-old Veronica De Nitto.

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities allege that Renato slashed Veronica’s throat, killing her. Tragically, this happened at the same time as Veronica’s sister giving birth to her second child. Her sister found out about Veronica’s homicide after the delivery. After the homicide, Renato was seen on surveillance footage purchasing a portable gas tank. He then allegedly set the apartment on fire with no regard for the safety of the other occupants. A neighbour was forced to jump from a balcony with her children to escape the flames. Renato’s vehicle was later found with the knife used in the crime as well as the gas tank. The knife had Renato’s DNA on it. Renato was driven to Mexico and a federal warrant for Unlawful Flight To Avoid Prosecution was issued. As of this posting, Renato is still at large since he was publicized on the U.S. Marshals Service’s Facebook page on August 26, 2025. Renato was last known to be in the Mexico City area.

They are offering a reward of $10 million in Mexican pesos (judging by the substantial reward amount, they have to confirm that is the reward that will be provided).
