Summary:
On August 25, 2022, at approximately 7:15 AM, Park employees observed a silver Toyota vehicle blocking the parking lot driveway of Barton Springs pool. Employees approached the vehicle and noticed blood stains on the driver's seat, and a blood trail leading south, away from the vehicle towards the pool area. Employees called 911 to report the suspicious vehicle and upon the arrival of officers, the victim was located deceased near the north fence line of the pool.

The victim was shot in his vehicle but was able to exit and flee south towards the pool where he was ultimately located deceased. It is unknown if there were other occupants in the vehicle prior to the offense.

Motive is currently unknown. No suspects have been identified. Actual time of offense is unknown. Offense occurred overnight between August 24, 2022 and August 25, 2022. The offense most likely occurred after 2:22 AM on August 25, 2022.
