Summary:
Savannah Hale was an artistic, friendly, and easy-going computer science student at Louisiana State University-Shreveport who has been missing since May 4, 2022. She left a Shreveport bar with her boyfriend in the early morning hours and later drove out of a parking garage and was never seen or heard from again. It is now considered a cold case.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Disappearance:
On the night of May 3, 2022, Savannah and her boyfriend spent the evening at Fatty Arbuckle's bar before heading back to the boyfriend's grandparents' house for the night. In the early hours of the morning, Savannah began making multiple trips back and forth from the home to Shreveport's city center, for reasons unknown. At 6:06 AM, she stopped at a Chevron on North Market Street. At 6:08 AM, she called her older sister Kirsten and left a message, suggesting that Kirsten call her back whenever she felt up to it. She sounded normal and cheerful. Then she drove out of the Louisiana Tower Parking Garage and was never seen or heard from again. At 8:03 AM, Kirsten got her message and tried to call, but Savannah's phone was off.
Additional Details:
Kirsten checked her apartment, then spoke to the boyfriend, who was clueless as to Savannah's whereabouts. She reported her sister missing on the afternoon of May 4, 2022. Volunteers have searched the nearby river and bayou in person and by sonar for Savannah and her car but have found nothing so far. The original investigator on the case doesn't suspect foul play and believes there's a good chance that Savannah is still alive, barring an accident, but detectives desperately need new leads from the community to locate her. Friends and family have created a group on Facebook called "Bring Savannah Hale Home". America's Most Wanted created a new series about missing persons, and one of the very first segments was filmed in Shreveport, highlighting the case of Savannah Hale. A volunteer search group, Adventures with Purpose, is still looking. The group recently conducted another search, targeting areas they had not previously covered. They are looking for Hale's gray 2012 Kia Forte.
