Summary:
Chukwuebuka Nwobodo is wanted for the homicide of 24-year old Felicia Johnson.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Felicia was last seen leaving a hotel in a vehicle. Chukwuebuka had made contact with Felicia based on an ad on an escort website. Felicia was taken to Chukwuebuka’s residence where authorities allege that he murdered and dismembered her. Felicia’s bloody cellphone would later be found at the side of a road. Surveillance footage at a Walmart and Home Depot captured Chukwuebuka purchasing a mechanical saw, trash bags, a flash light and towels. DNA evidence found at Chukwuebuka‘s apartment was a strong match to Felicia. On May 13, 2022, Chukwuebuka was pulled over during a routine traffic stop. He was let go but his phone was seized. His phone reportedly had a photo of a dismembered female as well as photos of three deceased individuals who could not be identified. Chukwuebuka had also done numerous disturbing internet searches including; if bleach or vinegar could destroy DNA; most forested part of Houston; how to delete your history completely; how to be a serial killer along with multiple ways on how to get away with murder. Chukwuebuka was charged with murder and tampering with evidence on June 9, 2022 and warrants were issued for his arrest. Chukwuebuka is of Nigerian heritage so it is possible that he fled to Nigeria (which does have an extradition treaty with the US). In 2023, Felicia’s remains were found and identified in Sam Houston National Forest. This allowed for her grieving family to give their loved one a proper burial. Felicia’s father thanked the TXDOT worker who made the discovery. As of this posting, Harris County’s court records database shows that Chukwuebuka has an active murder warrant and is not in custody.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Chukwuebuka‘s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (8477). Chukwuebuka should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this case so that Felicia’s family can get justice and answers. The fact that Felicia was involved in escort services should not demean her character and does not make her responsible for her homicide.
