Summary:

Brent Cruz is wanted for the homicide of 31-year-old Nyron Bowen.

Vital Statistics

Circumstances of Offense:

Authorities allege that Brent shot Nyron to death as he was leaving a nightclub. Brent is a documented gang member with prior Sedgwick County convictions that include aggravated robbery, robbery, theft and aggravated escape from custody. Brent was arrested for the homicide but was released on bail until his trial. He failed to appear for his trial on January 21, 2025, and a failure to appear warrant was issued for his arrest. As of this posting, Sedgwick County’s warrants database confirms that his failure to appear warrant is still active. He was previously paroled to California, which means he might have ties to that state.

Additional Details:

Anyone with information on Brent’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Wichita & Sedgwick County (to qualify for the potential reward) at 316-267-2111. Brent should be considered very dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that Nyron’s family can get justice and answers in their loved one’s case.
