Summary:
Joshua Roelofs is wanted for the vehicular homicides of 44-year-olds Kris Koroly and Ricky Gongora.
Vital Statistics
Circumstances of Offense:
Authorities allege that Joshua was driving at high speeds on a bridge while intoxicated. He then allegedly caused a collision with another vehicle, killing Kris and Ricky. One of the two passengers in Kris and Ricky’s vehicle suffered critical injuries that will likely require a lifetime of care. Joshua was charged with DUI Manslaughter and was released on bond. He unsurprisingly did not show up for a mandatory pre-trial hearing and a failure to appear warrant was issued on April 21, 2025. Joshua has ties to Ohio and Michigan, specifically Traverse City. It should be noted that Joshua was a Polk County Sheriff’s Deputy in Florida for five years. He was fired in 2015 for falsifying time records in order to get extra pay. As of this posting, Joshua’s failure to appear warrant is still active in Florida’s statewide warrants database.
Additional Details:
Anyone with information on Joshua’s whereabouts should contact Crime Stoppers Of Tampa Bay at 1-800-873-TIPS (8477). Joshua should be considered extremely dangerous. Please consider sharing this so that everyone affected by this horrific crime can get justice and answers.
