Circumstances of Offense:
The night prior to her body being discovered, Tonyetta and Andre were seen by witnesses arguing in the parking lot of an apartment complex. Andre was reportedly brandishing a gun at Tonyetta. Tonyetta had just celebrated her birthday. Authorities then allege that Andre murdered Tonyetta. Tonyetta’s body was discovered on a couch in the apartment by relatives. Andre had an extensive arrest record for various battery and burglary charges over the years. Tonyetta’s sister Karlie Golden, made this statement about Tonyetta to the media. “She would give you the shirt off of her back if you needed it. She was a “on all 10 toes” type of woman, that we know she didn’t go down without a fight. She was a fighter!! Words being exchanged from a trip made him kill her?! I want to believe my sister gave him a run for his money during that fight, and he felt he had no other choice but to kill her. I pray justice is served for my sister. No way a coward should be allowed to roam the streets peacefully,” said Golden. “She has a beautiful spirit, personality, and a smile that lit up the room. She’s home with her mother now. Rest beautifully My Angel.” Unfortunately, Andre remains a fugitive, according to news articles from July 7, 2025.
